Affording a high caliber education
At St. Stephen’s, we seek to be accessible for as many families as possible who value our learning opportunities for their child. We understand that affording a highly impactful learning experience often requires sacrifice. Financial Aid is the tool we use as a means of making our community accessible and it is budgeted annually and approved by the Finance Committee of the Board. None-the-less, there are more applications for assistance than funds available therefore, we use the following practice to responsibly distribute aid:
New students must be mission appropriate and in good standing with their previous school
Current accounts must be up-to-date to be considered for aid in a subsequent year
All awards are based on family need as determined by a third-party assessment
The policy of the school and FAST is to partner with parents in financing their child's education. Therefore, all families receiving Financial Aid at St. Stephen's Episcopal make some contribution toward the total cost of tuition.
Financial Aid Process
St. Stephen's Episcopal School aid award process is benefited by using a third-party financial assessment and income verification process for Financial Aid applicants. FAST is the service currently used which is operated by Independent School Management. St. Stephen's Episcopal School holds all information received from FAST confidential and only a small select committee of the school reviews that information. Aid is awarded annually and the amount awarded is subject to change each year. Financial Aid applications are resubmitted each year during the re-enrollment period. (Please use your name as it appears on your tax return.)

The online application process is self-guided and can be completed in more than one sitting. The FAST application fee is $43, payable by MasterCard Visa or American Express, and is non-refundable. FAST provides the details regarding the fee on the Instructions Page of the application.
