The 2016-2017 school year is quickly approaching and we are looking forward to another great year at St. Stephen's Episcopal School – Houston!  As you continue to enjoy your summer, we want to provide you with important information that will help you to prepare for the start of school.

Family Medical Information forms must be completed prior to each school year as they are critical to the safety and security of your child at St. Stephen’s.  Physicians are required to verify the health information provided. If you have not done so, please send your child’s completed health forms to the main office by July 31st.   

For students enrolled in Orientation - Upper Elementary, school supplies and classroom materials are provided by St. Stephen’s Episcopal.  For Middle and High School students, purchase of school supplies is required.  All personal items such as backpacks, jackets, lunch kits, water bottles, etc., should be clearly labeled with the student’s name.

We are pleased to offer a catered lunch program provided by The Simply Fresh Kitchen. You will receive an email notification advising of the menu options prior to the start of each month so that you may purchase meals in advance.  Our goal is to offer healthy meal choices throughout the school year and ask that you encourage your child to make healthy choices as well.  If a student brings a lunch from home, please make sure it is a balanced meal of proteins, fruits, vegetables, healthy snacks, water or milk.  This makes for an energizing day of learning and fun!

Friday, August 12th thru Tuesday, August 16th - Meet Your Teacher /Back to School Conferences
Meet the Teacher and Back to School conferences are for students enrolled in Orientation - Middle School.  Please refer to the school calendar or teacher letter for the specific date and time.  Please note that any conferences will be scheduled by the teacher via email.

Saturday, August 13th - Safeguarding God's Children Training. (This is a mandatory training class for ALL new parents and any current parents who have not previously taken the course.)

Monday, August 15th, 6:00 p.m. - Bulldog Roundup (Parents Only)
Join us in Pecore Hall to kickoff the year!  During this event, you will learn more about drop-off/ pick-up and classroom procedures, class field trips & school events, Safeguarding God’s Children training, school communications, PTO and parent involvement, homework (if applicable), scheduling and more.  This is also an opportunity to spend time with your child’s teacher, meet your Room Parents and get your important questions answered!

Tuesday, August 16th, 10:30-11:30 a.m. - Popsicles on the Playground
You and your child can enjoy refreshing popsicles while you have fun on the playground.  This is a wonderful way to reconnect with or meet new St. Stephen’s families.  It’s definitely an event you don’t want to miss!

Monday, August 15th: First Day of School (High School only)

Tuesday, August 16th – 19th: Mo Ranch Field Trip (Middle School Only)

Wednesday, August 17th: First Day of School (Orientation – Upper Elementary)

Saturday, August 20th: College Planning Workshop (parents & 8th -12th grade students only)
