Educators’ Collaborative is one of the oldest firms in the search business. Since their founding in 1971, they have conducted hundreds of head of school searches and a comparable number of senior administrative searches. Ned Becker worked at three different southern independent schools, including 13 years as Headmaster at Episcopal High School in Houston and 13 years as Headmaster at Metairie Park Country Day School in New Orleans. In his 26 years of service in ISAS and an equal number of years with Episcopal Schools and NAES, he has served in every office of these associations. He has extensive contacts throughout the independent school community, having served on national boards as a trustee and in leadership capacities. In the last ten years, Ned has assisted over 40 schools with Head of School searches. He has also completed numerous administrative searches, board governance workshop, strategic plans, and current Head and aspiring Head workshops. Educators’ Collaborative and Ned have done numerous searches throughout Texas, and Ned maintains contacts in Houston through his position as a Life Long Trustee of Episcopal High School; his brother-in-law, Mark Kelly, the Head of Annunciation Orthodox School for 25 years; and his daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters who live there.
