Parents are essential to the St. Stephen’s community. At St. Stephen’s, we pride ourselves not only on the caliber of our students, but that of our parents.
As parents/guardians of students at St. Stephen's, your children will have plenty of opportunities to meet their teachers and classmates. Our younger children (Orientation and Primary levels) will visit their teachers and classrooms with their parents before attending the first day of school.
Students in Lower Elementary - Middle Years along with their parents are asked to attend before-school conferences with their teacher in order to discuss goals of the upcoming year.
For students enrolled in Orientation - Upper Elementary, school supplies and classroom materials are provided by St. Stephen’s. For Middle Years students, purchase of school supplies is required. All personal items such as backpacks, jackets, lunch kits, water bottles, etc., should be clearly labeled with the student’s name.
All families are encouraged to attend Parent Education throughout the year.
At SSESH we offer Parent Education almost every Friday in the church gathering area. Parent Education is for parents, grandparents and yes, even friends! The purpose of these classes is to discuss various topics of interest regarding Montessori and IMYC education. We consider education of parents to be an integral part of the school.

*Montessori & IMYC Journey - coming Spring 2018
You are invited to experience the magic of Montessori & IMYC by going on a journey from Orientation through Middle Years. On this journey, you will first scan each environment for about five minutes, exploring all the materials laid out for you to discover later. After this observation, you will get your hands on those materials of the different subject areas, math, language, science, history, geography, etc. and live your child’s experience. After completing the journey, we will meet in Pecore Hall to debrief and share reflections.
