Hands-On Houston: Patterned Plates at the Craft Museum. Use clay to make your own platter. All ages are welcome and no reservations are needed.
Young Writers Workshop Hosted by Discovery Green. Kids learn to express their thoughts and develop language skills. Presented by Houston Public Library/HPL Express and Discovery Green. Houston's only free and open writing workshop for kids conducted by Writers In The Schools. Limited to 25 students, first come first serve. From 10:30 am -11:30 am.
Blessing of The Orange Show Bring out the whole family for a fun, FREE day on Munger Street with art activities, games, live music, food, and Danza Azteca Taxcayolotl! Danza Azteca Taxcayolotl is a grassroots Aztec dance group that is dedicated to preserving as well as nurturing the indigenous cultures of México. 11:00-2:00pm – Orange Show & Smither Park

Rodeo Houston – NRG Park, March 1st-20th 2016
The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston Sketch works of art in the galleries during this informal program. An MFAH teaching artist is on hand with paper, pencils, and clipboards to get you started. Look for signs in the lobbies to tell you where the sketching cart is stationed. This family program is open to everyone! Every Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. Free with general admission.
Contemporary Arts Museum The Menil Collection, Contemporary Arts Museum and Houston’s Teen Council present Root Shift: Photographs of Stasis and Change Selected by CAMH Teen Council. Comprised of photographs from the Menil’s holdings, Root Shift brings together images of people and the landscape to explore ideas of adaptation and resilience. On view at the Menil Collection, 1533 Sul Ross St., Houston, TX March 4th-May 22nd 2016

Sawyer Yards On the second Saturday of each month, the artists of Sawyer Yards (The Silos, Silver Street, Spring Street Studios, and Winter Street Studios) open their studios to the public from 2-5pm. Spend the afternoon wandering through four repurposed warehouses and discover a broad selection of painting, sculpture, jewelry, clothing, textiles, and mixed-media.

James Turrell: The Light Inside This light tunnel connects the Caroline Wiess Law Building with the Audrey Jones Beck Building at the at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. The MFAH is open Tuesday through Sunday.
Joan Lipuscek's daughter is in her second year at St. Stephen's and is now in Lower Elementary. Joan has been a regular volunteer with St. Stephen's Parent Ambassadors and was a co-chair of our highly successful annual fund last year. Professionally, Joan Lipuscek is a therapist specializing in work with families, children and youth. You can see more about her work here.
